Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born December 7th, 1963, in Edo State in Nigeria. He grew up in a religious family with loving and dedicated parents. He is the oldest son born to the elder T.E Oyakhilome, one of the pioneers of the Assemblies Of God Church in Benin City, and Angelina, and the matriarch of the Oyakhilome family who imprinted her faith in God’s grace upon her son from a young age.
The LoveWorld ministry is supported by the entire family. Reverend Ken is his brother and the revered pastor at Christ Embassy’s Houston Texas Church. He is also a member the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. KattyWorghiren is the director for the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry which has a host of gospel top-selling artists.
Pastor Chris has two children, Carissa Sharon und Charlene. Carissa Sharon, also known by the name of CSO she has chosen to follow in the footsteps of her father, sharing the Word of God the world. She is a talented gospel singer who has won awards and is part of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Family.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome began his education at Edo College. Then he was granted a scholarship to pursue studies at Bendel State University, now Ambrose Ali University. There he graduated with an BSc. in Architecture and an honorary Doctor of Science. He has also been awarded an honorary doctorate from Benson Idahosa University in divinity. While attending Ambrose Ali University, he was prompted by God to enter into the ministry and to be an ambassador for the Lord.

While still in university The Man of God started what would later be the largest congregation worldwide. The group would later grow to be the foundation for LoveWorld Incorporated and Christ Embassy as well as eventually millions of followers across the globe.
Pastor Chris was the leader of the LoveWorld ministry to become an innovator in satellite TV and Christian production and programming on television. LoveWorldSAT was the first Christian television station to broadcast out of Africa to the rest of the world 24/7 continuously on free-to air networks. Today, there are LoveWorld television stations on satellite and cable networks throughout the world.
Christ Embassy has strong presences in Pastor Chris’s native Nigeria in addition to South Africa, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. The ministry has two healing schools that are located in South Africa.
Music and Gospel Music are integral parts of worship. Pastor Chris is adamant Christ Embassy Churches that a choir be trained through Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry. Many of these vocal talents go on to have successful solo careers under the direction of Pastor Chris Oyakhilome.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a passionate donor who established the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation (COFI) an independent, non-profit foundation with the goal of aiding the most vulnerable communities and individuals in the most deprived regions and countries of the globe.
In addition to preaching the gospel message, the Man Of God has also established a number of NGOs which are charged with providing vital services and hope for the most vulnerable and neglected. COFI has five partners who have all committed to improving living standards in some of the poorest areas.
COFI supervises the InnerCity Mission, ICM for Children as well as the Volunteer Medical Corps and Trauma International Foundation (TCIF), Future Africa Leaders Foundation , and the Bible For All Mission. Each of these groups works to improve the lives, health and spirits of the most in need.
His charity also provides sustenance to indigent children. Pastor Chris believes that strong foundations of community are supported by COFI and The InnerCity Mission. This encourages accountability and good governance. It also supports sustainable development in Africa as well as other vulnerable areas of the world, in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.
