Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, born on 7 December 7 1963 in Edo State, Nigeria, was raised in a family of faith, supported by his loving and dedicated parents. He is the oldest of three sons born to elder T.E Oyakhilome (one of the founding members of the Assemblies for God Church in Benin City) and Angelina. Chris Oyakhilome Family Angelina was the matriarch and imprinted her grace upon her son from the age of a child.

Pastor Chris is the father of two daughters: Carissa Sharon (Charlene) and Chris. Carissa Sharon has chosen the path of her father of sharing the Word of God to the world. Also known CSO she is an award-winning gospel singer and a member of LoveWorld Music and Arts.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome started his studies in Edo College. After a scholarship was granted to study architecture at Bendel State University (now Ambrose Ali University) He received an BSc degree in Architecture, and an honorary Doctor of Science. He also holds an honorary doctorate degree in divinity from Benson Idahosa University. While at Ambrose Ali University, he was prompted by God to go into the ministry and be a servant to the Lord.

While in the university The Man of God started what would later become the largest church worldwide. It began as an uninvolved group of believers called ‘Youth for Christ’. The group would later grow to be the foundation for LoveWorld Incorporated and Christ Embassy, and eventually millions of followers worldwide.
Under Pastor Chris’s leadership, LoveWorld became a pioneer of satellite television and Christian programming. LoveWorldSAT was the first Christian television station to broadcast from Africa to the the world, 24 hours a day, all the time on free-to-air channels. Today, there are LoveWorld television stations on cable and satellite networks around the world.
Christ Embassy has strong presences in Pastor Chris’s native Nigeria as well as South Africa, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. Two Healing Schools are situated in South Africa and Canada. In Canada Pastor Chris holds seasonal sessions that allow miraculous healing to occur.
Music and Gospel Music are integral parts of the worship. Pastor Chris encourages Christ Embassy Churches and Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry choir training. A lot of these singing artists are soloists who have achieved success under Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s direction.

The Man of God created a number of NGOs to provide vital services and hope to the poor, needy, and forgotten. COFI has five partners who support it, each of whom is dedicated to improving living standards in the remotest areas.
