Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a child of faith, who was raised by a loving family and supported by his parents. He is the oldest child of elder T.E Oyakhilome and Angelina Oyakhilome. She was the pioneer of the Assemblies Of God Church in Benin City and a matriarch of Oyakhilome families. She passed on her divine grace onto her son at an early stage.
The LoveWorld ministry is supported by all members of the family. His brother Reverend Ken (the revered Pastor of Christ Embassy Houston, Texas Church) and a member Christ Embassy Central Executive Council are his two sisters. KattyWorghiren, the director of LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry is home of several best-selling gospel artists.
Pastor Chris has two daughters: Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Carissa Sharon follows in her father’s tradition of sharing God’s Word with the world. As well as being known by CSO, she has been a talented, award winning gospel musician and is a member of LoveWorld Music and Arts.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome began his studies at Edo College. After a scholarship was granted to pursue a degree in the field of architecture at Bendel State University (now Ambrose Ali University), he was awarded the BSc degree in Architecture, and an honorary Doctor of Science. He also holds an honorary doctorate in divinity degree from Benson Idahosa University. He was at Ambrose Ali University when he was called by God to be a priest and serving the Lord.

The Man of God who was still studying at the university, founded what would eventually become one of the most important churches in the world.
