Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born December 7th, 1963, in Edo State in Nigeria. He grew up in a religious family with loving and dedicated parents. He was the oldest of four children born to Elder T.E Oyakhilome, one of the pioneers of the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City, and Angelina who is the matriarch of the Oyakhilome family, who imprinted her divine grace on her son at an early age.
The LoveWorld ministry is a joint effort of the family. Reverend Ken is his brother and the revered Pastor of Christ Embassy’s Houston Texas Church. He is also a member the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. KattyWorghiren is the director for the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry that is home several top-selling gospel artists.
Pastor Chris is the father of two daughters: Carissa Sharon (Charlene) and Chris. Chris Oyakhilome Family Carissa Sharon, who is also known by the name of CSO, has chosen to follow the footsteps of her father and share the Gospel of God the world. She is an accomplished gospel singer who has won awards and is part of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Family.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome started his education at Edo College. After a scholarship was granted to study architecture at Bendel State University (now Ambrose Ali University) and he received the BSc degree in Architecture and an honorary Doctor of Science. He also holds awarded an honorary doctorate in divinity from Benson Idahosa University. Ambrose Ali University was the location where he felt God called him to become an ordained minister to the Lord.

While in the university While still in university, the Man of God started what would later turn out to be the biggest congregation in the world. It began as the formation of a small prayer group called ‘Youth for Christ’. The group would later become the foundation of LoveWorld Incorporated and Christ Embassy as well as eventually millions of followers across the globe.
Pastor Chris directed the LoveWorld ministry to become the pioneer of satellite television and Christian production and programming on television. LOVEWORLDSAT was the first Christian television station broadcasting out of Africa throughout the day on free-to air channels. There are LoveWorld satellite and cable television stations across the globe.
Christ Embassy has strong presences in Pastor Chris’s native Nigeria and also South Africa, Canada, the United Kingdom and the United States. Two Healing Schools are situated in South Africa and Canada. In Canada, Pastor Chris holds seasonal sessions that allow miraculous healing to occur.
