Pastor Chris: The Man
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, born on 7 December th, 1963, in Edo State, Nigeria, grew up in a family of faith, surrounded by his loving and dedicated parents. The LoveWorld ministry is actively supported by all members of the family. His brother Reverend Ken, is the esteemed pastor of Christ Embassy’s Houston, Texas Church and is a member of the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council, and his sister, KattyWorghiren, is the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry (LMAM), where there are a number of world-class gospel artists.
Pastor Chris is the father of two daughters: Carissa Sharon (Charlene) and Chris. Oyakhilome Carissa Sharon, also known by the name of CSO she has chosen to follow in the footsteps of her father, sharing the Word of God the world. She is a talented gospel singer who has won awards and is part of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Family.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome began his education at Edo College. Then he was awarded a scholarship that allowed him to go to Bendel State University, now Ambrose Ali University. There he graduated with an BSc. in Architecture as well as an honorary Doctor of Science. He holds an honorary degree in divinity from Benson Idahosa University. It was Ambrose Ali University when he received a call from God to be a priest and minister to the Lord.

He had the small group of prayer known as ‘Youth for Christ’, which later grew into one of the most well-known organization of its kind on campus. The LoveWorld ministry was founded under the leadership of Pastor Chris. It’s a leader in satellite television, Christian TV production and programming. LoveWorldSAT is the first Christian television station to broadcast from Africa 24/7 a day, on free-to air networks. Today, LoveWorld television stations are available on cable and satellite networks all over the world.

Under the auspices of COFI are COFI’s InnerCity Mission (ICM) for children, the Volunteer Medical Corps (VMC), Trauma Care International Foundation (TCIF), Future Africa Leaders Foundation (FALF) as well as the Bible For All Mission. Each of these groups works to improve the health and well-being of those who are most in need.
The charity also provides food for children who are in need. Pastor Chris believes in the support of strong communities through COFI, The InnerCity Mission and the advancement of accountable governance, good governance leadership and sustainable development both in Africa as well as other areas that are vulnerable of the world according to the Sustainable Development Goals.
