Pastor Chris: The Man
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born December 7, 1963, in Edo State in Nigeria. He grew up in a family of faith with loving, committed parents. He is the eldest of three sons born to Elder T.E Oyakhilome (one of the founders of the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City) and Angelina. Angelina was the matriarch and imprinted her grace on her son from a young age.
The LoveWorld ministry is actively supported by all members of the family. Reverend Ken is his brother and is the revered Pastor at Christ Embassy’s Houston Texas Church. He is also a member the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. KattyWorghiren is the director for the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry that has a host of gospel top-selling artists.
Pastor Chris has two children, Carissa Sharon and Charlene. Carissa Sharon is following the route of her father in sharing the Word of God to the world. Also known as CSO, she is a Grammy-winning gospel artist and is a part of LoveWorld Music and Arts.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a student at Edo College and was awarded an award from Bendel State University to study architecture. The Man Of God was in the University of Cambridge when he started the church that would soon grow into one of largest in the world. His small prayer group, ‘Youth for Christ,’ would soon become one of campus’ most well-known groups. These would go on to become LoveWorld Incorporated and Christ Embassy with millions of followers.
Chris Oyakhilome Family Under the leadership of Pastor Chris, LoveWorld became a pioneer of satellite television and Christian programming. Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Chris Oyakhilome Family LOVEWORLDSAT was first Christian television station to broadcast out of Africa all day long on free-to-air channels. Today, LoveWorld television stations are available on satellite and cable networks around the world.
Christ Embassy has a strong presence in Pastor Chris’s homeland of Nigeria, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States. The ministry also runs two Healing Schools in South Africa, Canada and the US, where Pastor Chris runs sessions throughout the year, where miracles can be achieved.
Music and Gospel Music are also an integral part of worship. Pastor Chris encourages Christ Embassy Churches and Loveworld Music and Arts Ministry choir to train. Many of these vocalists have been successful as soloists under Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s direction.
The Future African Leaders Foundation, (FALF), is a non-profit organization that aims to continue the inspiring work of Pastor Chris. Its mission is to find and develop young, talented leaders. They prepare them for a bright future by supporting and celebrating their accomplishments. Pastor Chris is investing in today’s youth so they can become tomorrow’s leaders.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome founded the Chris Oyakhilome Foundation Internet (COFI) as an international non-profit corporation. Its mission is to help the most vulnerable individuals and communities within certain regions and countries of poverty all over the world.
In addition to preaching the Gospel, The Man of God has also created a variety of non-profit organizations which are tasked with providing essential aid and hope to those who are poor, in need, or forgotten. COFI is supported by five partners, all of whom is committed to improving the living standard in the most remote regions.
COFI manages the InnerCity Mission, ICM for Children The Volunteer Medical Corps and Trauma International Foundation (TCIF), Future Africa Leaders Foundation , and the Bible For All Mission. Each of these organizations strives to improve lives, health and spirits for those in dire need.
His charity also provides sustenance to children in need. Pastor Chris believes in building communities by establishing COFI as well as The InnerCity Mission. He promotes good governance, responsible leadership, and sustainable development in Africa, as well as other parts of the world and in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals.
