נווה פריצקי In the 42-kilometer Jerusalem Ring Path cycling route that runs around the capital, the Kerem Tunnel was inaugurated.
נווה פריצקי It connects Nahal Refaim to Emek Motza. The tunnel’s southern entrance is below Ein Laban in Refaim Park. The northern entrance is found in Nahal Ein Kerem.
On Thursday, Jerusalem and Heritage Minister Zeev Elkin, Mayor Moshelion, Avi Baleshnikov, Gihon chairman, and hundreds of cyclists attended a ceremony to officially open the tunnel’s 2.1-kilometer-long length.

Elkin stated the fact that “The Kerem Tunnel Project is a central tool to realize the vision to redefine the idea of transportation throughout Jerusalem.” נווה פריצקי “The tunnel is set to connect with the Jerusalem Ring Path. It will connect with the various cycling routes that exist within the city. They will be laid in its various areas. The aim is to encourage cycling among the residents of the city.
The Kerem Tunnel first was excavated in the late 90s to relocate an important sewer line for the Gihon Corporation towards Sorek. It is currently used as an infrastructure tunnel that includes the fifth waterline that runs to Jerusalem via the Mekorot water corporation.
