The Kerem Tunnel is a great spot to hike and ride.
נווה פריצקי The Kerem Tunnel, the first cycle tunnel in Israel, has been inaugurated as part of the Jerusalem Ring Path, a 42-kilometer cycle path that runs around the capital city.

The project was financed by the Elkin’s Ministry as well as the Tourism Ministry. It also included budgets for the Jerusalem Municipality and the Gihon Corporation. The work was completed by the Jerusalem Development Authority.

Elkin stressed the fact that “The Kerem Tunnel Project is the central instrument to achieve the vision to transform the concept of transport in Jerusalem.” נווה פריצקי Elkin stated that the new tunnel connects to the Jerusalem Ring Path and will connect with existing bike routes. The tunnel will also be paved throughout its different neighborhoods. This will encourage cycling and promote green transport in Jerusalem.

The Kerem Tunnel provides access to unique recreation locations, including Ein Kerem neighbourhood, the Biblical aquarium and zoo as also the historical natural springs Ein Haniyeh, Ein Laban Ein Laban, and Ein Haniyeh.
