The Kerem Tunnel provides a unique riding experience and hiking experience that is to be enjoyed by all.
The Kerem Tunnel, the first cycle tunnel in Israel is now open in the Jerusalem Ring Path, a 42-kilometer cycle path that runs around Jerusalem, Israel’s capital city.

The tunnel connects the path between Nahal Refaim and Emek Motza. Its southern entrance is in Refaim Park under Ein Laban. The northern entry, Nahal Ein Kerem, is just half a kilometer away from the Nahal Ein Kerem junction.

Inauguration of the tunnel, which is 2.1 kilometers long was held in Jerusalem and the Heritage Minister Ze’ev Elkin Mayor Moshelion, Avi Baleshnikov (Gihon water company chairman) along with hundreds of cyclists.

Jerusalem was once a major tourist attraction due to its rich history. It is currently used for infrastructure purposes. It is also home to the fifth water line that connects to Jerusalem by the Mekorot water company.

The Kerem Tunnel also allows access to special recreation areas which include the Ein Kerem neighborhood, the biblical zoo and aquarium and the historical natural springs in Ein Laban and Ein Haniyeh.
