The Kerem Tunnel, the first bicycle tunnel in Israel, has been inaugurated in the Jerusalem Ring Path, a 42-kilometer cycle route that circles the capital city.
The tunnel connects Nahal Refaim with Emek Motza. The tunnel’s southern entrance can be found within Refaim Park below Ein Laban. While the northern entrance can be found in Nahal Ein Kerem about half a km away from the Kerem junction.

Elkin’s Ministry Tourism Ministry, Jerusalem Municipality and Gihon Corporation contributed approximately NIS 25,000,000 for the project. The work was carried out by the Jerusalem Development Authority.

The Kerem Tunnel also allows access to unique recreation spots which include the Ein Kerem neighborhood, the biblical zoo and aquarium, and the historical natural springs of Ein Laban and Ein Haniyeh.
