Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, born on December 7 th, 1963, in Edo State, Nigeria, grew up in a family that was a faith-based one, and was surrounded by loving and loving parents. He was the oldest of four children born to the elder T.E Oyakhilome, one of the first pioneers of the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City, and Angelina the matriarch of the Oyakhilome family, who imparted her divine grace upon her son from a young age.

Pastor Chris Oyakhilome started his studies at Edo College. Then he was awarded a scholarship to study at Bendel State University, now Ambrose Ali University. There he earned an BSc. in Architecture, as well as an honorary Doctor of Science. Additionally, he holds an honourary doctorate degree in divinity from Benson Idahosa University. While attending Ambrose Ali University, he got his calling from God to join the ministry and to be a servant to the Lord.
