Pastor Chris: The Man
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a child of faith who was nurtured by a family of faith and was supported by his parents. He was the oldest of four children born to the elder T.E Oyakhilome, one of the pioneers of the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City, and Angelina who is the mother of the Oyakhilome family, who imprinted her divine grace upon her son from an early age.
The LoveWorld ministry includes the entire family. His brother, Reverend Ken, is the esteemed Pastor of Christ Embassy’s Houston, Texas Church and an active member of Christ Embassy Central Executive Council, and his sister, KattyWorghiren, is the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry (LMAM), which houses a variety of global best-selling gospel artists.
Pastor Chris is blessed with two daughters, Charlene and Carissa Sharon. Carissa Sharon is following her father’s example of sharing God’s Word to the world. As well as being known by CSO her name, she is a talented, award winning gospel musician and is a member of LoveWorld Music and Arts.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was educated at Edo College. He then was awarded an award to study architecture at Bendel State University. He also holds an honorary doctorate in divinity from the Benson Idahosa University. While attending Ambrose Ali University, he got his calling from God to join the ministry and to be a servant to the Lord.

While still in university The Man of God started what would later be the largest church worldwide. It began as the formation of a small prayer group known as ‘Youth for Christ’. The group would later grow to be the foundation for LoveWorld Incorporated and Christ Embassy with a later number of millions of followers across the globe.
