Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born December 7th, 1963 in Edo State in Nigeria. He was raised in a religious family with loving and dedicated parents. He is the child of the elder T.E Oyakhilome who was one of the founders of the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City. Angelina and the matriarch Oyakhilome were also his parents. The divine grace of her mother was passed down to her son in the early years of his life.

Pastor Chris is the father of two daughters, Carissa Sharon (Charlene) and Chris. Carissa Sharon decided to follow her father’s lead of sharing the Word of God with all people. Also known as CSO (Community Service Organization), she is a gifted gospel singer and part of the LoveWorld Music and Arts community.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was a student at Edo College and was awarded an award from Bendel State University to study architecture. Additionally, he holds an honourary doctorate in divinity degree from Benson Idahosa University. While attending Ambrose Ali University, he was prompted by God to go into the ministry and be an ambassador for the Lord.

Pastor Chris directed the LoveWorld ministry to become the pioneer of satellite television and Christian television programming and production. LoveWorldSAT broadcast the first Christian television station that reaches from Africa to the rest, throughout the day, via free-to-air networks. Today, there are LoveWorld television stations that are available on satellite and cable networks throughout the globe.
Christ Embassy has a strong presence in Pastor Chris’s homeland of Nigeria, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States. Two Healing Schools are situated in South Africa and Canada. In Canada Pastor Chris holds seasonal sessions that permit miracles to be performed.
Music and Gospel Music form an integral element of worship.
