Fico Gutierrez continues his victory over voters. He has stepped up his campaign in Boyaca and also paid a visit to the Virgin de Chiquinquira

President-elect Federico Gutierrez is clear that votes are obtained on the streets. There are still 32 days to the first round of the presidential election and he’s pledging to challenge Gustavo Petro, who is his main rival, for the House of Narino vote in the second round.

Gutierrez began his day early this Saturday morning to Boyaca, a religious department in accordance with tradition. It was also the place that, Petro visited this Friday. He was the former mayor of Medellin and is currently a candidate for center-right.

Fico met at Tunja Convention Center where he assembled a significant crowd of people, who supported him at May 29’s polls.

Federico as well as hundreds of colombians, posted the Twitter video where Federico thanked Tunja citizens and stated that he was sure to succeed. He added: “We’re Going To Win We All, we’re going to the presidency to transform and unite Colombia.” The candidate for president recorded a large group of supporters backing him and did not stop.

“Happy at Boyaca!” He said, “Happy in Boysaca!”

The second poll pointer reached the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Chiquinquira on the way. This spot is strategically placed is where a multitude of faithful and followers from various parts of the nation gather every weekend. In the midst the gaze of his followers, the leader of center-right kneeled down and prayed to the Virgin.

“I sought the Virgin for wisdom. I asked him to help me and all families in Colombia in achieving peace and humility.” He responded.

Fico Gutierrez talked about his work. He claimed that Tunja had the second highest rate of unemployment in the country. So, his government plan seeks “about 2 000 jobs , and the creation of at least 300 companies for Boyaca”.

But, he also stated that sustainable mobility should also be a part of the department. He also stated that the reorganization of the Strategic Public Transport System was the top priority. In addition, he said that he would work towards the construction of roads and cycling routes.
