Federico Gutierrez the presidential candidate has proven that votes are gotten on the streets. He has less than 32 days left to finish the first presidential round, in which he’ll be competing against Gustavo Petro, his main opponent in the race for the House of Narino quota in the eventual second round.
Gutierrez was up early Saturday morning to travel to Boyaca. Boyaca is a religious area which Petro visited on Friday. The former mayor and current candidate for center right arrived in Tunja to have a meeting with academics, businessmen and agricultural farmers as well as peasants.
Fico held his main meeting in the Tunja Convention Center. He was joined by a number of important people who pledged their loyalty to the May 29 elections.
With ruana, and hundreds of colombians behind Federico, the candidate for the Team for Colombia, Federico posted a tweet on Twitter in which he thanked the citizens of Tunja as well as saying: “we’re Going to win, we all, we run for the presidency to transform and unite to Colombia,” said the president’s candidate while recording a cluster of people who support him without pause.
“Happy at Boyaca!” He wrote “Happy in Boyaca!
The second person who voted reached the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Chiquinquira on the route. This strategically located place is where dozens of faithful and followers from all over the country meet every weekend. In the the gazes of his followers and those who were waiting for the morning Eucharist the leader of the center-right kneeled and offered himself to the Virgin Mary.
“I asked Virgin to help me gain wisdom. He said that I’d requested his help for my family as well as for peace and for the humblest.
In that place, the presidential candidate recorded the visit in video. He met several residents of the region prior to his entry and was welcomed by them.
Gutierrez was seen arriving at the church with the traditional Boyacan ruana and the medal of the Virgin of Chiquinquira on his chest, a sign of faith that he has been demonstrating throughout his campaign. It is worth noting that three weeks ago the Antioquian visited Jericho, Antioquia, and were at the place of birth of Mother Laura, the only Colombian saint who was canonized recently by Pope Francis.
In Chiquinquira the presidential candidate took the occasion to welcome Chiquinquira’s residents and make announcements about his plans for the presidential palace. The leader of the paisa also addressed other important issues such as water security, road construction and maintenance (especially Ruta de los Comuneros section and Ubate-Chiquinquira sections) and tourism as a way to generate jobs and promote sustainable development.
Fico Gutierrez was speaking about the work. He said that Tunja is the second-highest level of unemployment within the United States. In his government plan that he is aiming to create “about 2000 jobs and minimum 300 new Boyaca firms”.
On the other hand the minister also said that sustainable mobility must be generated in the department. https://diigo.com/0odpg0 affirmed his belief that the Strategic Public Transport System’s structure should be prioritized to achieve these goals. Together, he indicated that he is committed to the development of roads and cycle routes.
He also sent out a message to producers of potatoes: “Peasants & farmers of Boyaca and Boyaca, we will work to create more chances and income, and we will re-dignify the potato industry.” This is the most recent tweet he has tweeted. Gutierrez will continue to reach to the Colombians and share his government plan, and hoping to be a strong candidate in the next Sunday’s elections.
