Federico Gutierrez as presidential candidate says that votes can only be won on the street. There are less than 32 days left to go before the first presidential round where he will face Gustavo Petro, his main rival in the race for the House of Narino quota in the second round.
Gutierrez was up on Saturday morning and set out to Boyaca, a traditional religious district that Petro visited on Friday. The former mayor and current candidate for the center right was in Tunja to meet with businessmen, academics and agricultural producers as well as peasants.
Fico held his main meeting at Tunja Convention Center. He was joined by a group of important people who pledged their support for the elections on May 29.

During the trip, the second polling pointer, reached the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Chiquinquira, an important spot where hundreds of followers and faithful from all over the country gather each weekend. The person who is the leader of the center-right kneeled before the Virgin and was flanked by his faithful followers who were waiting for the first Eucharist.

At this point the presidential candidate recorded a video clip of his visit. Prior to entering the region the presidential candidate met a lot of people who embraced the president. The presidential candidate also donned the representative outfit of the Colombian municipality.
Gutierrez arrived to the temple of the holy rites with the Boyacan ruana (traditional Boyacan ruana) and the medal from the Virgin of Chiquinquira (a symbol of faith which he carried during his political campaign). The Antioquian had been to Jericho (Antioquia) just three weeks earlier and had a gathering with Mother Laura, the sole Colombian saint recently made a saint by Pope Francis.
The presidential candidate went to Chiquinquira to greet the citizens and to announce his visit to the palace of the president. “Key issues in Chiquira are providing water to all citizens, the construction and maintenance of roads (especially Ruta des Comuneros & the Chiquinquira-Ubate Section) as well as tourism to create jobs and sustainably develop.” Other major concerns were also addressed by the head of the paisa.
Fico Gutierrez spoke about the work. He said that Tunja was the second-highest level of unemployment in the nation. Therefore, his government plan seeks “about 2 000 jobs , and the creation of at least 300 companies for Boyaca”.
The department must promote sustainable mobility. He said that establishing the Strategic Public Transport System was the top priority. He said that he intends to keep his efforts to build roads and cycle routes.

He will communicate his government’s plan to them and try to make a mark in the next Sunday’s election.
