Fico Gutierrez was a potential candidate who woke up on Sunday to run the Corre mi Tierra Half Marathon (21 kilometers) in Medellin.

From the streets of Medellin, Fico, who has a recognized sports life and rides bicycles and runs marathons –, said that as the president of the Colombians they will be promoting popular sports schools across the country, seedbeds starting at an early age, and the establishment of a sports infrastructure.
The president also stated that the government’s program will provide the support for those who study and prepare for academic excellence to help promote every sport discipline.
Fico was surrounded by runners as he walked along Antioquia’s streets. He received hundreds of messages of support and admiration for his presidential campaign. A lot of participants were able to approach him to express their support for his candidacy.
