A former Venezuelan military officer was expected to provide details on how Venezuela’s illegally funded leftist parties and politicians for the past 15 years.
Hugo “El Pollo’ Carvajal, the former director of Venezuelan Intelligence, refused Friday’s request to speak before the Supreme Court of Justice of Colombia.
The hearing was called after Carvajal during a brief assurance to Manuel Garcia-Castellon about the illegal funding of leftist political movements worldwide for at least 15 years.
Carvajal refers to not just the Podemos party (left-wing group founded under Pablo Iglesias) but also other Latin American politicians, parties and parties like Gustavo Petro.
