A former Venezuelan military officer was required to be able to provide information on how Venezuelan government illegally financed leftist political parties and politicians for at minimum 15 years.
Hugo ‘El Pollo’ Carvajal (ex-head of Venezuelan Intelligence) was able to cancel Friday his promise to deliver statements to Colombia’s Supreme Court of Justice.
The hearing was scheduled after Carvajal in a short assurance to Manuel Garcia-Castellon about Venezuela’s illegal financing of left-wing political parties around the world for at least 15 years.
Carvajal was talking about the Podemos Party the left-wing group which was founded by Pablo Iglesias, and which is now part the Spanish government. Carvajal also mentioned others Latin American politicians and parties like Gustavo Petro.
It was also noted during the examination on April 22 that not declare that he was in Spain and Colombia since they are both on the verge of extradition the United States. So it is not completely ruled out that he could prolong what he had previously stated in a letter made in Spain on Petro.

All of them were listed as receiving money by the Venezuelan government.”
Gustavo Petro confronted this document. He requested at the time for the Court to initiate an investigation session to verify the veracity of these statements.
Petro stated that Petro was entitled to justice and truth, and that making false statements could be detrimental to my good name or my respect.
