The Mayor of Frontino was furious at General Zapateiro, accusing Zapateiro of entangled in unresolved controversy

Jorge Hugo Elejalde was elected mayor of Frontino (Antioquia) and is now a part of the debate about the rivalry between Gustavo Petro , presidential candidate and General Eduardo Zapateiro the Army commander. The ruckus began with the attack on the Gulf Clan in Frontino this week.

The president questioned that the incident and the killing of seven soldiers was forgotten and now they’re focusing only on a fight over politics and not on the arrest of the culprits.

Elejalde said, “I call upon the general to not be there fighting with candidates for the presidency in the full-time presidential election. gustavo petro must concentrate on coming to us, defend us and take off his boots.”

“I am a fan of the institutions. respect and I love the army. I am the one who has provided the most glory, however I do not like that people forget their roles forget their constitutional responsibilities, each one in each one’s and leave politics to the politicians,” he added.

The mayor has requested that the general Diego Molano and the minister Diego Molano visit Frontino to solve the problems of violence that plague the municipality.
