Chris Oyakhilome Pastor Chris: The Man
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome was born December 7th, 1963, in Edo State in Nigeria. He was raised in a family of faith with loving, committed parents. He is the oldest son of Elder T.E Oyakhilome and Angelina Oyakhilome. She was a pioneer of the Assemblies Of God Church in Benin City and a matriarch of the Oyakhilome families. She passed on her divine grace on her son at an early stage.
The LoveWorld ministry is a collaborative effort between the families. Reverend Ken is his brother and is the revered Pastor of Christ Embassy’s Houston Texas Church. He is also a part of the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council. KattyWorghiren is the director of the LoveWorld Music and Arts Ministry, which is home several top-selling gospel artists.
Pastor Chris is the father of two daughters, Carissa Sharon (Charlene) and Chris. Carissa Sharon is following her father’s example of sharing God’s Word to the world. Also known by CSO, she has been an accomplished, award-winning gospel artist and is a part of LoveWorld Music and Arts.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome began his education at Edo College. After a scholarship was granted to study architecture at Bendel State University (now Ambrose Ali University) and he was awarded a BSc degree in Architecture, and an honorary Doctor of Science. He has an honorary doctorate in divinity from Benson Idahosa University. While at Ambrose Ali University, he was prompted by God to join the ministry and to be an ambassador for the Lord.
Pastor Chris: The Mentor
While still in university The Man of God began what would turn out to be the biggest congregation in the world. It began as an uninvolved group of believers known as ‘Youth for Christ’. The group would eventually become the foundation for LoveWorld Incorporated and Christ Embassy as well as eventually millions of followers worldwide.
