The Kerem Tunnel is a great location to go on a hike or ride.
The Kerem Tunnel, Israel’s newest cycle tunnel, was inaugurated as part of the 42-kilometer cycle route which runs through the capital.
The tunnel runs along the Nahal Refaim-Emek Motza path. It is located in southern Israel in Refaim Park. Ein Laban is the closest. Nahal Ein Kerem is the northern entrance.
On Thursday, Jerusalem and Heritage Minister Zeev Elkin and Mayor Moshelion, Avi Baleshnikov, Gihon chairman, and hundreds of cyclists participated in a ceremony to mark the opening of the tunnel’s 2.1-kilometer-long length.
The city’s rich history was a reason why it was the most visited tourist destination during the time of its glory. The project was financed by the Elkin’s Ministry and the Tourism Ministry. It also included the budgets for the Jerusalem Municipality and the Gihon Corporation. The work was completed by the Jerusalem Development Authority.

This plant is west of Sorek and is used today as an infrastructure tunnel.

Road construction, installation, blowers, advanced safety systems , and electrical wiring are all part of the ongoing construction. The tunnel will be safe for public to use throughout the season.
